SS. Cosmas and Damian Religious Education Program (CCD, Now known as PREP – Parish Religious Education Program), seeks to provide parish children attending Public Schools in grades 1 – 8 with knowledge to become faithful disciples of Jesus.
Our parish program helps our children become more familiar with Catholic traditions and doctrine through the content of the curriculum. Our curriculum is developmental across ages. What the child learns in first or second grade classes is not just repeated in the next grade but built upon. Each year our program provides the children with:
- A growing experience and a reverence for Sacred Scripture.
- A faithful presentation of the Church's doctrine and traditions.
- Encouragement to make a live response to the faith.
- Meaningful participation in the sacramental and liturgical life of the Church and communal prayer services.
- An appreciation of the liturgical year.
- An appreciation of the lives of the saints.

Registration for new students coming into our program may register after Mass on Sunday, in the rectory, or in the office of SS. Cosmas and Damian Campus of Conshohocken Catholic School, 130 West Fifth Avenue at 6:30 P.M. on Monday evenings. Contact Sister Mary Elizabeth at the Rectory (610-828-0101) for more information.
Unbaptized children of catechetical age whose parents wish Baptism for the child, will attend classes at their grade level so they may experience faith along with their peers. However, they will be required to attend special classes corresponding with the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults periodically throughout the year. They will be presented at the Rite of Election, the Scrutinies and receive the Sacrament of Baptism at the Easter Vigil.
Adult R.C.I.A. - Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is an inquiry class and process. It is for unbaptized persons, for persons interested in knowing about the Catholic faith, for Catholics who were baptized, but missed First Eucharist, Confirmation or Penance. During the year there are various Rites celebrated. At the beginning of Lent the Rite of Election is celebrated. During Lent prayer and fasting is encouraged as preparation to receive the Sacraments of Initiation at the Easter Vigil. Classes meet each Tuesday at the Rectory from 7:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M beginning in October until the Easter Vigil.
Bible Study meets twice a month. For anyone interested in learning more about Scripture. This is a great opportunity to strengthen your faith through scripture and fellowship.
Disciples in Mission. During the past years a number of parishioners have discovered the power of the Scriptures during their Lenten journey. Small groups meet at various times to "break open" the words of the Sunday readings and apply them to their daily living.
